Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we take time to honour and celebrate the cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

What an incredible day at SJP! 🌟

Our Talent Show was a huge success, and we are so fortunate to have so many talented students willing to share their gifts with our school community.

A special highlight of the day was our surprise feature: The Masked Dancer! 🎭💃 Students and staff had a blast trying to guess the identities of our mystery dancers while cheering them on from the audience. Watch the video and see if you can guess who was behind the mask

Thank you to all of our performers, organizers, staff, and families for helping make this event such a memorable celebration of talent, courage, and school spirit. We are so proud of our SJP students!

We had a great visit from a few players from the Ottawa Titans baseball team today! ⚾
Students had the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about baseball, and even get autographs. Thank you to the Titans for taking the time to visit our school and inspire our students!

In June, we celebrate Pride Month and reaffirm our commitment to building school communities rooted in dignity, belonging, compassion, and care!

We believe that all people are created in the image and likeness of God and are loved by God. During Pride Month, we recognize and celebrate the identities, experiences, and contributions of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, while continuing to listen, learn, and grow together.

Our board theme, “A Listening Presence Changes Hearts,” reminds us that taking time to listen with care, compassion, and respect to the lived experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals helps build school communities where they feel seen, valued, and included. We can all work together to show that everyone truly belongs here, and that together, we are God’s Good News.

During Catholic Education Week, our students created thank you cards to recognize the hard work and dedication of people in our community. We were proud to share a special set of these cards with the library in Bourget as a small gesture of gratitude for all they do!
