We’re bringing Holding Heritage: Unspoken Stories to Vancouver Island this May 💛☺️

In collaboration with - what a special feeling it is to have screenings planned in the valley where I grew up! ✨

Each event will include a screening of the most impactful moments of the series, followed by a live discussion with:

Sandy Ho , author of No Way But Through: A Family Memoir of the Cantonese Diaspora (be sure to check out her amazing new book! 📖), and

Andrew Ha , my very own 哥哥, who was featured in Unspoken Stories with our grandma 婆婆 🤭

There will be light snacks and refreshments catered by my very own mom’s local business 😋

Together, we’ll share evenings of reflections on intergenerational connection, identity, and the stories that often go unspoken. 💛

There are two opportunities to join us:

📍 May 13 — Campbell River (5:30PM)
📍 May 14 — Cumberland (7:00PM)

They will be welcoming and low-pressure, with light activities, conversation prompts, and time to connect at your own pace. Come to listen, to share, or simply to be present.

Last weekend we had over 100 people come celebrate Unspoken Stories with us ✨🥹🫶🏼

This marked Holding Heritage's very first public event and we couldn't be more blown away by all the support 🥰
