Catamount Peak East Face: An All-Time Descent - Beyond Our Peak The east face of Catamount Peak is a Rogers Pass steep skiing classic. and offers a sustained 40-50° descent that lasts for more than 400m.

If you’ve been to Rogers Pass, you’re probably familiar with Video Peak and its hugely popular route down the SE face. To change things up a little, we decided on skiing down the Video Peak North Face, a rocky hourglass-shaped run that opens up into a sheltered alpine bowl. What a line!

Grizzly Trees, located in Rogers Pass of Glacier National Park, is an incredible naturally gladed area, a mere 1.5km from the Rogers Pass Discovery Center (RPDC). From treeline skiing to pillow smashing, it’s got it all!

The Ravens, finally got to write about this incredible line. With a scenic glaciated ascent on the Illecillewaet Glacier and about 1000m of descent through alpine rolls and sparse trees into the Asulkan Valley, it's one heck of a route. I give it my thumbs up 👍

The Ravens: A Burly Line For A Burly Storm - Beyond Our Peak The Ravens route is as good on the up as it is on the down. It traverses from the Illecillewaet to the Asulkan Valley and offers good skiing.

Corbin Pass is simply AWESOME. The ascent is super breezy, it literally borders the highway and the ski down is equally steep, mellow and playful. I'm glad I got this route to kick off 2022!

The Jupiter Traverse is known throughout the Canadian ski touring community as the ultimate ski-mountaineering classic of Rogers Pass. The traverse crosses the three summits of Mt Jupiter: Castor Peak (2886m), Pollux Peak (2777m), Leda Peak (2701m). It requires a full ski-mountaineering skillset. What an epic!

Accessed through a SE-facing couloir nestled between Ross Peak (2331m) and Mt Green (2692m), Cougar Creek West is one hell of a beautiful route. This ski-mountaineering objective takes you 1400m down an exposed, rocky north face between Ross Peak and Mt Green. The bootpack up the Ross SE Couloir rewards you with some crazy views of Rogers Pass. Check it out!

The Sir Donald to Macdonald Traverse is an amazing route that takes you through some of Rogers Pass’ seldom-travelled glaciers, couloirs and cols. The route circumnavigates most of the Sir Donald Range, notably Uto Peak, Eagle Peak, Avalanche Mt and Mt Macdonald, delivering on the striking vistas. Apart from its 20km length and 2400m vertical gain, it’s an advanced ski-mountaineering objective requiring some pretty decent rope-work. Give it a read!
