Roll, Count & Dot the Caterpillar: 🎲🐛

Today, our little learners turned a simple caterpillar into a colourful counting adventure! Each child rolled the dice, counted the number shown, and used bingo dabbers to add the same number of dots to their caterpillar.

Along the way, they explored counting, number recognition, colour patterns, and fine-motor skills while having lots of fun and making their own unique caterpillar designs!

Learning through play makes every little dot count!

🍁 Canada Day Fun & Creativity 🇨🇦

Today, our little learners celebrated Canada Day with a fun and creative Canadian Flag Craft! ❤️🍁

The children carefully glued red paper squares onto each side of their flag and coloured the maple leaf in the center, creating their very own Canadian flags. This hands-on activity helped strengthen their fine motor skills, creativity, and understanding of Canada's national flag.

The children were excited to see their finished masterpieces and were so proud of their beautiful creations. It was a wonderful day filled with creativity, learning, and Canadian pride! 🇨🇦❤️

Flower Letter Recognition Activity

Children participated in a name recognition activity using flower templates and letter matching. Each flower represented the letters in the child's name. Children identified and matched the letters of their names, placing or writing them on the flower petals in the correct order. This activity supported letter recognition, name awareness, early literacy skills, fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, and concentration while encouraging creativity and confidence in learning their names. 🌸

☀️ Summer fun and creativity at daycare today! 🎨🌈

Today the children enjoyed a fun watercolor and painting activity using their little handprints to create beautiful summer artwork.

We talked about summer colors, practiced creativity, and worked on fine motor skills while painting and coloring together. Activities like these help children express themselves, build confidence, and most importantly — have fun while learning! 😊

Yesterday, the kids enjoyed a wonderful nature walk at the park where they explored their surroundings and searched for ladybugs. Inspired by their outdoor adventure, today we extended the learning experience through a creative ladybug craft activity.

Using foil paper and paint, the children created colorful ladybugs by painting and designing circular patterns. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, and fine motor skill development while making learning fun and engaging. 🐞🎨✨

Today our little learners got creative and hands-on with a fun basket-making activity! 🧺✨
The children designed and decorated their own colorful paper baskets using different shapes, colors, and materials. They did an amazing job showing their creativity and fine motor skills while assembling their baskets and adding beautiful decorations like flowers and patterns.
After completing their baskets, we took the fun outdoors! 🌿☀️ The kids went on a mini “treasure hunt” at the park, where they explored nature and collected little treasures like leaves, sticks, and other interesting finds. They were so excited to fill their baskets with their special discoveries!
