After more than a year, custom orders are officially back!

One of my favourite parts of running Prairie Lily Stitches has always been helping bring customers’ ideas to life. Sometimes that means creating a favourite bag in the perfect colour, sometimes making a special gift for a group, and sometimes it’s designing something completely new from the ground up.

Every custom project is a little different, which is part of what makes them so much fun. And I like a challenge.

Since custom work takes a bit more planning and studio time, I’ll be opening a limited number of custom order spaces at a time.

If you’ve been dreaming about a specific print, colour combination, or just can’t find what you want, now is a great time to reach out and start the conversation.

I’m very happy to say I will be at the Regina Farmers’ Market every Saturday this month. (Barring inclement weather and the like.) The first two weekends will continue to be outside on the plaza downtown. Then on October 17th we are back indoors. We will again be at Banner Hall between the Brandt and Cooperators Centres all through the winter season. I hope to see you at the market!

Autumn Whimsy made its debut this weekend, and now the remaining pieces are ready for their next adventure.

This collection is my take on autumn: rich colours, beautiful textures, a playful print, and practical bags designed to be used every day.

Each piece was made in very limited quantities. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Introducing Autumn Whimsy

Collections are one of my favourite ways to explore a colour palette across multiple designs. This one took me a little out of my normal comfort zone, fall colours aren’t usually where my creativity normally lands. But I completely fell in love with this combination of rich waxed canvas in a deep teal with the bright autumn floral print.

Autumn Whimsy includes seven variations across five designs, including the debut of the Horizon Bag. Each piece was made in very limited quantities, with just a few available. There’s even a one-of-a-kind Horizon Bag.

The collection will make its debut at the My Little Fall Market YXE this weekend in Saskatoon before heading online afterwards.

This design has been sitting in the back of my mind for years. I originally created a version of it as a holiday special and every single one sold. The funny thing was, even though customers loved it, I still felt like it wasn’t finished. I loved the simplicity of the design but wanted something with a little more structure and a few more practical details.

Once I started working with waxed canvas, everything clicked into place.

The redesigned version includes boxed corners for a little shape and space, an exterior pocket for quick access essentials, and the same simple fold-over style that made me love the original.

I’ve been carrying this bag all summer and it has become my go to for errands, the ball diamond and everyday adventures.

Sometimes a design just needs some time to grow into what it was meant to be. Say hello to the Horizon Bag, it’s joining my product lineup at the end of September.
