🐾 Happy International Dog Day!

For Karlie Butler, education takes different forms.
Through his work with English as a Second Language (ESL) at the University of Regina, Karlie supports learners as they develop their communication skills and confidence. Outside the U of R, his passion for teaching continues through dog training at the Regina Humane Society.

While these two worlds are separate, they share a common thread: patience, communication, trust and learning — whether in the classroom or with our four-legged friends. 🐶💚💛

As a preview, we’re honoured to introduce Cara Driscoll, BA (Visual Arts) ’91— an accomplished ceramic artist, author, and dedicated alumna whose connection to the University continues to inspire. Through her ongoing support, Cara is helping future students and preserving the creative spirit that has shaped our community for generations.

In recognition of the recent support from government and generous donors, the University of Regina welcomed partners to the Cypress Hills Field Station to celebrate the impact of philanthropy on research, education, and environmental stewardship. 🌱

Representing the G. Murray and Edna Forbes Foundation at the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation, Susan Yuzik and Adam Yuzik joined the celebration of this special research hub that will continue to inspire students, scientists, and communities for generations to come.
