2nd session just wrapped up!

🌟 Community and connection are two of the most fundamental things to keep your mental health stable, especially if you’re family and friends are on the other side of the globe.
🌟 We have the power to choose which thoughts to entertain. Taking away our attention from the critical monster in our head removes its claws.
🌟 Perseverance in the midst of trials will make you succeed in any situation you are in.

My heart is full listening to these ladies tell me their stories! Phew! 💕

Today, we had a session about Grace, Grit, and Growth! It was a privilege to hear the stories of practicum students and how they navigate their experiences in the field with the three core values of Graceful Growth.

Lately, life has presented me with this reminder - look for pockets of joy in your day.

Your situation may not be ideal right now, but there is always that choice to say, "this is sh*tty, but not all of it is and I will focus my attention on that instead." Be it a cup of coffee that warms your soul, a child telling you they love you, or an uplifting conversation with a trusted friend.

There are more beautiful things in your life than what is going on right now.

There is more to you.

There is more than this.

Today, I was able to attend a Self Compassion workshop and it was a much needed reminder that everyone goes through universal feelings and that we can count on each other to understand and empathize, no matter where we are in life.

As we grow, I pray we grow towards genuine self kindness and love.

With Winter practicum in full swing and midterms coming up, please remember that you are trying your best and there’s always someone you can reach out to. 💕

We had our first workshop today! It was lovely to see the hopeful eyes of future ECEs. This makes us want to do this more often - we want to EMPOWER and ENCOURAGE practicum students that this field is worth it, and it gives back. 💕

September brings in a lot of new faces and phases. This is for all of us who decided to venture out of our comfort zones to start fresh. 🍂

Hi everyone! We have created two separate surveys to collect some feedback from students and past mentors. As we started this new venture we thought receiving feedback from both perspectives to see how we can better support students succeed and also see where we can support mentors feel set up for them and their student/students to succeed in the classroom and in their future in Early Learning and Childcare.

Hi everyone! We are rolling out our first online workshop for incoming students who are about to start their practicum!

We know that doing well in your placement can lead to career opportunities and we are here to help ensure that you are equipped with the basics. Different centers have different needs but it all boils down to how you accept the challenge.

We are a group of educators who have experienced what it is like to be an international student starting from scratch, and having careers different from Early Childhood Education beforehand. We invite you to join us as we talk about the basics of practicum!
