Too cool for school....so we homeschool ππ€ͺ
I just had too π€ͺπππ€
I joke I joke...
All jokes aside....we do keep our hearts soft and hands open when it comes to our kids' education, we never know what God may want with our family and that may mean public education. So far I can't see us switching but if it does our hands are open and we trust God with it all. π
Would you have added the "Too" also? π

Favorite Back to School Traditions that we have done over the years to make for a smoother first week back ππ° β¨ π² π¦ π
π° We have done this one since they were little π₯Ή we *all* look forward to some cake after our first full day of lessons. This gives them something to look forward to in the afternoon + a little motivation to work hard π€ͺπ€
βοΈ I loved back to school shopping as a kid. I loved all the new sharpened pencil crayons and organizing my stuff....not much has changed as an adult π so even though we homeschool I love to still get them some supplies especially for them β¨
π« On the first day of school the table is set with their All About Me colouring pages and other fun colouring pages. My oldest still looks forward to this . I created an All About Me Printable. Comment: ** "Printable" ** and I will send it your way π€
π² Plan a field trip for the first week of lessons. It's something fun you can all look forward too ( without the summer crowds π€ͺ) and it will get you out of the house, exploring and making memories together
What's a fun back to school tradition you do in your homeschool?
Check out my friend who is also sharing some Back to School Traditions:

2026-2027 Curriculum Choices β¨ Beauty subjects
This year it's a bit of a mix, I am not going with any one resource for our beauty subjects I just pulled books we had and some new to work our way through together making sure to choose poetry, composers, artists, latin, Bible and a few other things.
The only book missing from this video is Laying Down the Rails for habit training.
Let me know if you have any questions π
Check out Christine
Who also recently shared her beauty subjects π

still so much summer happening over here π₯ΉποΈπβ¨π it was a full weekend filled with adventures + good friends.
If you are ever in New Brunswick I highly recommend checking out Fundy National Park they have so many things for the kids to do and some of the most beautiful trails to hike.
This summer it was my goal to continue practicing mother culture, spend time nature journaling, identify different birds and flowers, and spend time reading good books for myself πΏ
we started up lessons again but summer is still in full swing β¨ we are just taking everything nice and slow.
If you would like the sandwich book report printables, let me know below by typing BOOK and I will send you the link to them ( not affiliated )
Happy Monday friends β

β¨ each Thursday I try to share our homeschool tablescape ( it looked much different over the summer π) + I like to chat real homeschool chats together β
πΈ Share your homeschool Thursday Tablescape ( tag me) and I will share it to my stories.
Today's tablescape is back to our table with warm cups of coffee for our morning meeting where we are reading through the book of Luke + working our way through Growth Mindset where we learned all about the science of our brains and how neurons actually gather other neurons in the brain for support when it needs help with a challenging task π₯Ήπ€ π§ How cool is that π₯Ήπ€π ?!
We are also, very slowly, working through the new layout of Simply Charlotte Mason Ancient History.
Let's chat homeschool: β
To be very honest I'm feeling a bit discouraged with the new layout for SCM history ππ© It doesn't have a schedule to follow so I don't know how many times a week we should be doing it, and I'm finding shuffling between the teacher book and the narration guidebooks for the kids a bit overwhelming π
just because before everything was all in one place.
I am just hoping and praying we need a few more days of practicing to simply find our flow with it all.
If you have already started using the SCM new history curriculum have you figured out a flow with it, any tips or advice?
have you started back to lessons yet? When do you go back? Happy Thursday, friends! Cheers β

What a fun surprise for the kids that Tim Hortons launched their Harry Potter products the *same* day we planned to listen to the final chapter of the first book on our road trip. We stopped on our way out of town and grabbed some Harry Potter snacks for the long ride. They were the perfect sweet treats to end such a brilliant memorable book β‘
Such a fun surprise β¨π€π©·
