Le Forum, c’est un groupe de 18 citoyennes et citoyens et de 9 personnes expertes de domaines liés à la santé et au bien-être. Il se réunit quelques fois par année pendant trois ans pour discuter de différents enjeux du système de santé et de services sociaux.

Applications now open: 2025 McGill Global Health Scholars - Undergraduate Program

The McGill Global Health Scholars - Undergraduate program is back for its 10th year! McGill undergrads can apply for the chance to participate in a global health research project under the supervision of a McGill faculty member in the summer of 2025 and receive up to $6,000 in funding. McGill students from any faculty or program can apply for up to two out of 23 available global health projects in various fields.

In addition to their research project, Global Health Scholars also benefit from a variety of educational, training and networking opportunities organized by Global Health Programs (GHP) throughout the academic year.

Doctoral students from McGill Law's Research Group on Health Law participated in this year's "Séminaire doctoral international en droit de la santé" in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

This event was hosted by the Université de Neuchâtel and co-organized with McGill University, Université de Montréal, Université Paris Cité, Université catholique de Louvain, and the University of Ottawa. The seminar lasted two and a half days and provided an opportunity for scholars to connect and discuss matters of health law with PhD students and professors from France, Belgium, Canada, and Switzerland. A wide range of topics was covered, from the regulation of AI and obstetrical and gynecological violence to climate change-related disputes.

Both McGill doctoral students had the opportunity to present their research projects: Dimitri Patrinos presented his project on compensation for prenatal harms, and Marie Dry presented her project on the reproductive rights of trans parents. Additionally, students participated in workshops organized by their peers to exchange ideas and best practices on methodology, and critical and interdisciplinary approaches to legal research.

The Centre of Genomics and Policy is looking to fill at least 4 new Academic Associate positions. This role involves the coordination of ethical and legal aspects of genomics research projects and the development of policies and publications under the expert guidance of Professors Ma’n Zawati or Yann Joly.

These are positions for senior researchers in law with good prior research experience.
