𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭

We are pleased to announce that Raphaël Payant has received a 2026 Finalist Certificate from the Foundation, one of Canada’s most prestigious organizations dedicated to recognizing and supporting the next generation of leaders.

Out of more than 5 000 applicants, Raphaël was selected as a Loran finalist in recognition of his determination, community involvement, and leadership potential. He is graduating St. Lawrence with a DEC in Social Science (World profile) and will be beginning his studies at l'Université Laval this fall.

Congratulations Raphaël on this remarkable achievement! We look forward to seeing what you accomplish in the years ahead.

Nous avons le plaisir d’annoncer que Raphaël Payant a reçu un certificat de finaliste 2026 de la Loran Scholars Foundation, l’une des organisations les plus prestigieuses au Canada dédiée à la reconnaissance et au soutien de la prochaine génération de leaders.

Parmi plus de 5 000 candidatures, Raphaël a été sélectionné comme finaliste Loran en raison de sa détermination, de son engagement communautaire et de son potentiel de leadership. Il a obtenu un DEC en sciences sociales (profil Monde) et débutera ses études à l'Université Laval cet automne.

Félicitations, Raphaël, pour cette réalisation remarquable! Nous avons hâte de voir tout ce que tu accompliras dans les années à venir.

𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐨 𝐱 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭

Yesterday, 21 recipients from the 2026 cohort of the Fondation Aléo Beneva program were awarded a total of $100,000 in scholarships. Among them was St. Lawrence student-athlete Jacob Lebel, who received a scholarship for his achievements in snowboard cross. Congratulations!

Hier, les 21 récipiendaires de la cohorte 2026 du programme Beneva de la Fondation Aléo se sont partagé un total de 100 000 $ en bourses. Parmi eux, l’étudiant-athlète de St. Lawrence, Jacob Lebel a reçu une bourse pour ses accomplissements en snowboard cross. Félicitations!

From March 28th to April 3rd, a delegation of 25 St.Lawrence students took part in the National Model United Nations in New York City, representing Algeria.

Their dedication, teamwork, and active participation throughout the week earned them multiple honours, including the Distinguished Delegation Award.

Last week, St. Lawrence student-athlete Rose Savard-Ferguson was recognized as one of 38 scholarship recipients honoured at the traditional Spring Cocktail hosted by the Fondation Aléo, for her achievements in snowboard cross. Congratulations!

𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬

Students from the Model UN club participated in Amnesty International’s Write for Rights initiative, writing letters to advocate for human rights and justice as well as offering words of support to families facing hardship.

Over 500 letters were written and mailed out! Congratulations to all those that participated, every letter helps create meaningful change. ✨

Les étudiants du club Modèle des Nations Unies ont participé à l’initiative Write for Rights d’Amnesty International, en rédigeant des lettres pour défendre les droits humains et la justice, ainsi qu’en offrant des mots de soutien aux familles vivant des situations difficiles.

Plus de 500 lettres ont été écrites et postées! Félicitations à tous les étudiants qui ont participé, chaque lettre a un impact et peut mener au changement. ✨

𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬’ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

On Thursday, April 23rd, two award-winning Canadian authors, Caroline Fernandez and Eva Jurczyk, visited St. Lawrence as part of the Canadian Authors’ Conference. Students had the opportunity to learn more about the creative process behind writing and publishing a book, from the first idea to the final published work.

We sincerely thank Caroline and Eva for taking the time to visit and share their knowledge with our students!

Le jeudi 23 avril, deux autrices canadiennes, Caroline Fernandez et Eva Jurczyk, ont visité St. Lawrence dans le cadre de la conférence des auteurs canadiens. Les étudiants ont eu l’occasion d’en apprendre davantage sur le processus créatif derrière l’écriture et la publication d’un livre, de l’idée initiale jusqu’à l’œuvre publiée.

𝐋𝐞𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞

Last week, 4 St. Lawrence students and 2 teachers participated in the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge in support of Leucan Région Québec, helping raise funds for children with cancer and their families.

Thanks to the incredible engagement and generosity of our community, a total of $10 105 was raised for this great cause. 🐞✨

La semaine passée, la communauté de St. Lawrence s’est mobilisée en participant au Défi têtes rasées de Leucan, afin d’amasser des fonds pour les enfants atteints de cancer et leurs familles.

Grâce à son engagement et à sa grande générosité, un total de 10 105 $ a été recueilli pour cette belle cause. 🐞✨

Nous aimerions également souligner la participation de Pascale Nicole, Samuel Lacroix, Caleb Loiselle,Elliot Breton, Tom Welham et Claudine Gélinas-Faucher, qui ont relevé le défi!

“𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭” 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 🎨

The “Final Painting Project” exhibition features the last project of the students in the Painting course. Students chose to paint an original composition or to make a study of a painting or be inspired from a painting from the past. Make sure to stop and take a look at their marvellous paintings on the 3rd floor hallway beside the exit door!

L’exposition « Projet final de peinture » présente les dernières réalisations des étudiants du cours de peinture. Les étudiants ont choisi de créer une composition originale, de réaliser une étude d’une œuvre existante ou de s’inspirer d’un tableau du passé. N’hésitez pas à vous arrêter pour admirer leurs magnifiques peintures dans le corridor du 3e étage, à côté de la porte de sortie!
