It was Interesting Hat Day in my class today! -Angelina

Today, we learned about Victoria Day and since there is a student in my class named Viktoria, we thought it would be funny if she wore a crown, so another student made a crown for her.

In Canada, Victoria Day long weekend is the start of the summer season for many people. Enjoy the long weekend! I hope the weather is nice for you. -Angelina

The Canada Census is very important, so today both classes learned about the census. If you haven't completed it yet, please do it. Everyone in Canada should do it.

Happy Star Wars Day!

Star Wars Day is a global celebration of the Star Wars film franchise created by George Lucas. Held annually on May 4th, the date is inspired by the famous phrase “May the Force be with you,” which sounds like “May the Fourth be with you.”

While not an officially established public holiday, Star Wars Day started as a fan-led celebration and shows us the significant cultural impact of the movie franchise around the world, including in Canada. The day celebrates storytelling, imagination, heroism, and themes such as friendship, courage, and standing up for what is right.
