From Summer learning looks a little different here. Teacher candidates are stepping outside the classroom to learn on the land, deepening their understanding of place, relationships, and ways of knowing that will shape their future classrooms.

The online session (Day 2) of the School of Education Retreat 2026. We had a quick recap of Day 1 at West Lake Provincial Park, and we briefly engaged in each of three activities from Day 1 as part of Day 2. Added commentary and reflections were appreciated from Day 1 with Day 2 participants. Lots of good vibes and thank you all for attending. 💯

And that’s a wrap for the 2026 School of Education Retreat. Thank you for being our guest speaker and starting us in a good way. We were visited by 2 eagles, one raven, one deer, and a squirrel. Lots of gifts today. The SOE Crew engaged in several team building and collab activities. Lots of wonderful work and learning done by the faculty. ❤️💯
