Fire Prevention Week at Maynard. We started the week off with practicing our fire drills and the fire fighters came to watch. We took part in a colouring contest and the fire department had a bag full of prizes for the winners! August Fire Rescue is having an open house next weekend. Check it out!

Today our grade 6 students had the opportunity to take part in the UCDSB math game show. We had some math experts from the boards program department lead the show.

Our Grade 5/6 classes had a blast getting creative with rhythm and learning the basics of bucket drumming! There were lots of beats, smiles, and maybe just a little bit of noise along the way. 😄

A huge THANK YOU to Brockville Home Depot for generously donating the buckets that made this experience possible! Your support helps us bring new and exciting musical experiences to our students.

The Maynard Mentors hopped on the Kindness Cart today and spread some joy to all custodians and teachers for "Custodial Day which was on October 2nd and "World Teacher Day which was on October 5th" Everyone enjoyed a balloon, sweet treat and a kind message! Thank-you custodial staff and teachers for all that you do for us everyday! 😉
