Season Opener!
Warriors U13 A for the win!👊
Huggydubby Homestead has renewed our sponsorship with our top influencer for the 2022-23 season. The agreement paid immediate dividends in the second period when he finished off a tic tac toe tying goal as the Warriors cruised to a 7-4 victory against the Belleville Bulls.

Project #4 Cattail woven sit mats or trivet

L worked away on some pond maintenance a few weeks ago clearing cattails which were encroaching on prime pond real estate.

Thanks to some great resources at Scugog Memorial Public Library we were able to learn about weaving with natural plant fibres. This beginner project took time but easy to scale back in size for smaller people to try. Maybe coasters?

🌾After drying the cattail leaves for 1-2wks we soaked them in water “mellowing” them overnight. This makes the leaves more pliable for weaving. The results of this activity were in the concentration and contentment in the hours spent in this mesmerizing process. 🌾
