New Beginnings Academy

We are working on getting our space set up and organized to start a new Year August 30th! Can't wait to see all of our friends!!

Our Year is coming to an end. We have a week of summer camp planned from July 26th to the 29th. This one will be for anyone between the ages of 3 to 10. We will spend the week learning different ways of doing art!
We also have a Science week planned from August 2nd to the 5th! Both will run from 9am to 4pm.
How about a teen leadership camp from August 23rd to 26th. It will also run from 9am to 4pm.
We only have 5 spots so send me a message right away if you would like to register your child for the week!

This is what we aim to fulfill in each one of the children we have in our environment. Not only do the children have a gift but each family member has a gift that will impact the world! Come join us on a heroes journey.

Today the figured out how to make a lever. They then proceeded to see who was the heaviest and lightest as well as objects. These kids are so creative!

We were blessed to have a lady come over and teach us how to wet felt with local wool! This was one of the pictures one of the kids made out of the wool provided.

Such an amazing quote. Here at our Sparks program we call it qork because that is what our children are doing. They are either figuring something out mentally, physically or emotionally.

Now that everyone knows their continents, provinces and territories it's time for us to move onto plants! We will be learning about photosynthesis, plant parts, what they need to live, what they do for us and growing our own flowers! We love this session because we get to explore in dirt and explore the different types of seeds each plant makes. This will also lead us into talking about living things and how plants and animals are similar and different. Baby chicks coming soon for the kids to learn from and watch grow!

Our Spark Studio has added to their learning. They are now learning the 7 continents and the provinces and territories of Canada!

So much can be taught from a board game! Here the kids, ages 12 to 3, are playing Catan. The joys of being multiple ages is that everyone gets challenged in some way. The 3 year old is being challenged by learning how to play the game and the 12 year old is being challenged because she is learning how to communicate the rules to the younger kids so they get it and can actually play.

It been awhile since we have posted. I watched this video the other day and thought I would share it all with you!
