Today we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a symbol of Christ’s three-fold love: human, spiritual and divine. This day reminds us to open our hearts to compassion, mercy, and hope, by following Jesus’ example in our daily lives.

A huge thank you to our Lanark Highlands Fire Service Chief, Steve Rothwell, for inviting our Grade One Two and Kindergarten classes to visit the fire station today. Students loved being able to explore the trucks, hear the sirens, and ask our fire chief many questions. Community engagement at its finest, many students left feeling inspired to become a community hero themselves one day!

Mr. Bob from the Mississippi Valley Field Naturalist helped the grade 3 and 4 students plant milkweed seeds. Milkweed plants are important for the Monarch butterflies. It is the only plant the Monarch butterflies lay their eggs on also the only plant that the caterpillars eat.❤️🦋
