KVR Middle School

KVR Middle School has approximately 535 students in grades 6-8. We are located in Penticton, BC. Our mascot is Rusty and our school logo is the KVR Express.

We are a dual track school with students learning in both English and French.

Grade 7 and 8 Transition Information

May 1st
Penticton Secondary counselors will visit KVR Middle School Grade 7 classes to provide information about Pen-High

May 1st
Penticton Secondary School is hosting a parent/guardian information night at 6pm. This is for parents/ guardians of students currently in grade 7 or 8 at KVR.

April 29-May 3
Grade 7 classes will go over to Penticton Secondary School. Grade 7 classes have been teamed up with grade 9-11 classes in order for them to see what a typical high school class looks like.

June 12th
Grade 7 and 8 KVR students will go to Penticton Secondary School for a fun activity and will become more familiar with their future school.

Important Dates:
May 7- Grade 5 Parent/ Guardian Information Night: 6:30PM at KVR
June 12- Grade 5 classes will come to KVR Middle School for an orientation activity: 9:00-11:30am

Our KVR students will watch The Lion King during the school day! If possible, please send a non-perishable food item for students to donate at the door! Grade 6 students will attend on May 16th, grade 7 students on May 17, and grade 8 students on May 18.

Erase Parenting Sessions!
Establishing Respectful Relationships and Consent in Our Communities – Student and Parent Session
These sessions are best suited for students in grade 8 and above, and their families. In this session, we will explore the topic of consent, and the dynamics of gender-based violence. We will discuss the current state of gender relations faced by our children in both the physical and digital landscape, as well as the potential for exploitation within these relationships. Throughout the session, our trainers will provide students with tips and tools to help them navigate and grow in these environments.
