Perhaps your first order of business could be to re-establish your trust in your inner knowing. What has the "best choice for you" felt like in the past when your intuition has lit up? Part of choice making is the ability to withstand taking chances. We can't always predict what kind of lessons and growing could emerge.

Card 2: Six of Wands-Oh, you are hella magnetic these days. What a tragedy it would be to hide yourself away from the world when your radiance is so needed now. Step into opportunities to share your areas of genius, creativity, inspiration, and talents. Let yourself receive the rewards. This card represents a triumph in some way. Soak it into yourself while remembering all of those choice points, supporters and Creator's favours that helped you arrive here.

Card 3: Seven of Wands-Nobody enjoys feeling misunderstood or backed into a place where they must self-defend. We can FEEL the judgment and jealousy of another from their energy. Defend yourself, yes. But then, live your life, enhance your world and remain true to you. We are not here to be liked by everyone. Our mission, values, interests and heart's longings are not up for negotiation. Not everyone will "get" our vibe. Your work is to move away from playing defense and center your peace.

This one came highly recommended. Some fantasy/fiction with an unsettling subtext. Apparently, it has a twist of epic proportions. Always love me some good psychological f**kery. 🤣

Reading remains one of my life's greatest luxuries and I am carving out the time for it when I can. ✨️

✨ A little life update from behind the laptop... ✨

It has been a full yet rewarding Summer so far! I am almost halfway through my Master of Social Work, and I'm still deep in classes until mid August, currently studying Life Course Perspectives, Counselling Assessment, and Social Welfare Policy.📚

At the end of July, I'll also be wrapping at Moving Forward Family Services, where I have been volunteering since my practicum ended in April. I have revelled in working with clients, cried more tears than I care to admit, built more bounce back into my window of tolerance and endured the steep learning curve. I worked with clients navigating PTSD, eating disorders,disability, chronic pain, ADHD, anger management and intimate partner violence, loneliness, OCD, perimenopause and so much trauma and grief.

I'm grateful for being booked every Saturday for Tarot parties throughout August! If you've been thinking about booking a personal reading, I currently have availability between August 14 and August 26 before I take a mini vacay then head back to University. ☀️

Not everything we leave is toxic. 🗯

Sometimes the hardest thing to walk away from is something that is still good, still beautiful, still capable of holding us.

It just cannot hold who we are becoming.

The Eight of Cups is the quiet ache of realizing that gratitude and departure can exist in the same heart.

You can love what something gave you and still know your time there is complete.

You do not need betrayal to justify an ending.

You do not need to loathe an old room before you are allowed to open the door.

Sometimes the soul simply becomes too large for the life that once fit it.

This past weekend my cousin tied the knot 🎉

It was a celebration full of the kind of heart connections that are exemplified in the three of cups.

It's about your chosen ones, family or friends who, everytime you gather, feels like the ultimate adventure. It's about who you truly have let into your heart and who you feel understood by. 🥰

The hard times & the losses come crashing in regardless, it seems, so taking time to intentionally gather, celebrate, break bread, and giggle (or cackle as my partner calls it) is essential. This is what gives life all its flavour.

I love pulling cards at the beach. 🏖

Do I get some funny looks? Yep.
Do some people stare? You bet.
But others are there too, who feel an immediate kinship because I'm daring to read cards in a public place. Normalizing starts with repeated exposure.
