What you consume every day shapes who you become more than any single workout, motivation spike, or short-term discipline.

Food, habits, environment, media, and decisions all accumulate. Over time, they don’t just affect your body, they shape your energy, your mindset, your performance, and your identity.

This is not about perfection. It is about awareness. Small choices repeated daily build either strength or weakness. There is no neutral ground.

If you want to become stronger, more disciplined, and more resilient, you have to start paying attention to what you allow into your system.

At the Commando Experience, we don't break people. We place them in situations that reveal who they really are deep within.

Cold water. Heavy loads. Fatigue. Uncertainty. Team challenges. Long days and uncomfortable moments.

Not because suffering is the goal, but because growth lives on the other side of comfort.

When comfort disappears, excuses disappear with it. What remains is character. Resilience. Leadership. Courage.

Many arrive wondering if they can make it. A lot think about quitting during. Most trust and leave realizing they were capable of far more than they ever believed.

Comfort is the enemy.

The mission is to confront it, overcome it, and discover the strength that has been there all along.

Join the Commando Experience now. And leave your excuses at home.

I've experienced plenty of scary challenges:

• Jumping from planes at low (400m) and high (4,500m) altitudes.
• Surfing massive waves and powerful pipelines.
• Leaving everything behind and moving to another country three different times.
• Rappelling high cliffs by day and by night.
• Doing aquatic navigation in cold, dark water in the middle of the night.
• Fighting in a cage.
• Taking risks in business.
• Speaking publicly in front of crowds in my native and second language.
• Pushing my body and mind through Special Forces military training and selections.
• And many more challenges along the way.

Every one of those experiences brought growth, confidence, resilience, character, and countless lessons that made me a better man. More skilled. More capable. More dependable.

Not for recognition. Not for applause.

But to live a life filled with experience, adventure, purpose, and values.

A man who tells you he's never scared is a liar. Because fear is a natural emotion which can lead you or stop you from jumping in the adventure. Tame fear and you'll go far in life.

Those experiences have also given me a deeper understanding of life and equipped me with the tools to guide others through their own challenges. When people become stronger, more confident, and more capable, they improve not only themselves but also their families, communities, and ultimately the world around them.

The easy road rarely changes us.
The uncomfortable one reveals what we're truly capable of.

Jump on it.

If training is comfortable, predictable, and controlled, it may build confidence but not competence. The real question is simple: does your training actually prepare you for reality, or only for the training environment itself?

This episode explores how to design training that bridges the gap between theory and reality, and why that difference can determine success or failure when it truly counts.

Contact a man every so often you can.

Men's Su***de Deaths in Canada:

Per year: ~3,296 men
Per month: ~275 men
Per week: ~63 men
Per day: ~9 men
Per hour: (about 1 every 2.6 hours)

These are estimates derived from the annual total and the finding that men represent nearly 75% of su***de deaths in Canada.

In Canada, nearly 3 out of every 4 su***de deaths are men. That means approximately 9 Canadian men die by su***de every day, or roughly one man every 2½ to 3 hours.

If you are a man in need, talk to me anytime or contact:

At MLK Abilities, we've never believed in shortcuts.

Real growth comes from showing up every day, doing the work the right way, and staying committed to the process even when nobody is watching.

No chasing attention. No need for constant recognition.

Just discipline, integrity, persistence, and a commitment to helping people become stronger, more capable, and more confident than they were yesterday.

The most meaningful results are often built quietly, through countless hours of effort, learning, and consistency.

In the end, the results speak for themselves.

Mentorship is the transfer of experience, discipline, and perspective so others can grow faster and stronger through their own challenges, not avoid them. It is guidance built on accountability, where learning comes through action, reflection, and correction.

At MLK Abilities, we apply this with both kids and adults by creating environments where coaching goes beyond instruction. We develop character, resilience, and decision making under pressure, helping people learn how to think, adapt, and perform when it matters most.

What you hear from me (Jeff) on the podcast, in training, or in direct conversation is consistent. I don’t hesitate to tell people what they need to do, who they need to become, and what they need to change if they want real results.

Some call it cultural, say it comes from my French bluntness. Maybe. But to me, it’s simpler than that. It’s a choice. You either tell people the truth, or you don’t.

And truth is not about hurting people. It’s about creating a shift. A declic. That moment where something finally clicks and forces them to see things differently.

Now, there is a way to communicate it. Delivery matters. But let’s be clear, sometimes direct words are the only thing that gets through. You can’t always soften reality without distorting it.

How people receive it is on them. You don’t control that. But you can guide how they understand it. You can stand behind it with intention, not ego.

Lying, sugarcoating, being fake, that’s what’s actually toxic. That’s what keeps people stuck. If you care about someone, you tell them the truth. Especially when they ask for your opinion.

Yes, it might hurt in the short term. But long term, that truth either hits early enough to create change, or it hits later when the cost of ignoring it becomes obvious. Either way, you stayed aligned. You respected yourself, and you respected them.

And when it’s done right, when it’s clear, backed by action, and sometimes proven immediately, people don’t reject it. They grow from it. They start to want more of it.

Helping someone transform into a better version of themselves, that’s something you can’t buy. It takes effort, honesty, and responsibility. But it’s one of the most meaningful things you can be part of.

That's why we do this profession, to see the change, to be part of it and to live it fully.

Train with us now.
