Hi, my name is Nick, Welcome to my page!
I am passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve success in math. I’ve been tutoring for 3 years and have experience teaching all high school levels, including Grade 9 fundamentals and algebra, Grade 10 academic level, Grade 11 Functions, all the way up to Grade 12 Advanced Functions, Calculus, and Data Management.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen core skills, prepare for tests, or push for top marks in your senior courses, I tailor each lesson to your unique learning style and goals. My approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into clear, understandable steps, helping students not only learn math, but see the reasoning and logic behind it, and maybe even actually enjoy it!
I previously tutored math for Ottawa Tutoring and have also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa and as a Work Skills Lecturer at George Brown College. I have experience teaching students with autism and ADHD.
I hold a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Applied Economics and Global Development Studies from Queen’s University. In addition to tutoring, I work full-time in consulting, where I apply analytical and problem-solving skills every day, the same mindset I bring to teaching math.
I am based in downtown Ottawa and offer tutoring after school at your home or at a local library. I am available after 4 on week days and select times on weekends.
