Today we celebrated Haitian Flag Day by reading stories about Haitian culture and the history of the Haitian flag, coloring special themed pages, and talking about traditions with the children. 📚🎨
The kids enjoyed exploring culture through books, art, music, and conversation in a simple and meaningful way. We love creating opportunities for little ones to learn about different cultures, traditions, and languages through hands-on experiences and stories. ✨
Celebrating multicultural traditions helps children grow with curiosity, respect, and appreciation for the world around them. 🌎

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms, grandmas, and caregivers! 🌸
This week the children were busy creating special handmade keepsakes filled with tiny handprints, little treasures, and lots of love. ❤️
From rock collecting adventures to painting, gluing, and crafting, every gift was made with excitement and care for the special people in their lives.
Thank you for trusting me to be part of your children’s days, memories, and milestones. Wishing all of our daycare families a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend filled with hugs, smiles, and special moments. 🌷

🌿✨ Our Weekend Project ✨🌿
This weekend, we created something a little magical… a tiny fairy garden full of imagination, nature, and hands-on creativity 🌸🧚‍♀️
Using natural materials like pinecones, sticks, soil, and little treasures, we built a small world where stories can come to life. From building pathways to placing tiny homes and animals, every step was filled with creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor practice.
This kind of play supports so many areas of development—imagination, storytelling, sensory exploration, and connection with nature 💚
We can’t wait to explore it together this week and see what stories the children create!

🌸 Mother’s Day comes a little early in our daycare 💕

In Hungary, we celebrate Mother’s Day on the first Sunday of May, so this week we started creating some special surprises just for our moms 💗

The children explored colors, textures, and their creativity through simple collage art—little hands working hard to make something meaningful. Every piece is unique, just like their love 🥹

We’ll be celebrating again next weekend for Canadian Mother’s Day… because our moms deserve to be celebrated more than once 🤍

Today’s mud kitchen play 🌸
Simple setup… but so much learning happening.
Mixing dirt, water, and flower petals, scooping, pouring, and “cooking” their little creations — this kind of play supports:
• Fine motor skills (scooping, pouring, grasping)
• Sensory exploration (textures, temperature, wet/dry)
• Imagination and pretend play
• Language development (describing, storytelling)
• Focus and independent play
It might look messy, but this is meaningful play — hands-on, creative, and so important for development.
And honestly… they could stay here forever 💛
