Creative Communicators is an Ottawa-based club tailored to Design Professionals including: Interior Designers, Architects, Architectural Technologists, and other related construction design professions. Toastmasters' established program is an excellent tool for improving public speaking, listening and leadership skills. By joining the club, attending the meetings, and following the program, you wi
ll improve the skills needed to make presentations, prepare and present speeches and communicate more effectively with clients and colleagues. Toastmasters is recognized by the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) and by the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). Members can claim Continuing Education for participating in our Club. IDC permits Toastmasters hours as self reported education. A maximum of 15 hours are permitted per three year cycle. These are self reported by ARIDO members for CEUs. Members can keep a copy of the Advanced Club Task Schedule as a record of attendance at meetings. The OAA permits Toastmasters hours as unstructured learning: discussion group. A maximum of 25 hours are permitted per two year cycle. These are self reported by ORSA members for Con Ed points.
