CJIIC student Jaiden Stevens recently completed the inaugural IndigiNews ReFocus Photojournalism Fellowship in Kjipuktuk (Halifax). After showcasing their photos, each fellow was presented with a certificate, and wrapped in a blanket to represent love and support from the community around them.

Last week, CJIIC students gathered at Carleton University for their final in-person intensive. Students worked together to pitch, shoot, write and edit stories for a video newscast that was screened at the end of the final class.

This weekend, we celebrated our first cohort of CJIIC learners with an Honouring Ceremony as their journey with the program came to a close. We are so proud of the hard work these graduates have put in all year and we look forward to seeing what they do next!
