Host a Student
NSL Camps is looking for English speaking hosts to provide room and board for international and Canadian students. The objective is for our international students to improve their English and learn about our society and culture while living with a Canadian family. Our students represent all nationalities and religions and most are between the ages of 12 to 19. You must live in the O

ttawa region and have easy access to bus routes to downtown Ottawa with travel time limited to 30 minutes. A “host family” could be a nuclear family, singles with or without children, retirees and people of all ethnic backgrounds. It is important to make your student feel at home and you should be open to learn about them too. As the students’ objective is to learn English, we are looking for households where English is the language spoken. Hosts must provide a furnished room (bed, closet and dresser with adequate lighting). The bedroom must have an equal standing with the other bedrooms in the home. Internet access is also a requirement, either allowing use of a computer or WIFI connection. Most students want full board, which is room with breakfast, packed lunch and dinner, seven days a week. Some opt for half board, which is breakfast and dinner weekdays and full board on weekends. All adult members of the household must provide NSL Camps with a police records check for the vulnerable sector. Recruiting for SUMMER 2015
