This year, we skated through frozen forests, greeted the sunrise on snowshoe adventures, and kept warm around campfires. We tiptoed through tulips, swam, canoed, and explored Tofino’s beaches.

We shared stories between the pines, made nature art, and transformed the woods into an outdoor stage with our Wild Script program. Forest bathing with Soul Space, beach clean ups at Petrie Island, and our Writing Wild workshop at the Eastern Ontario Writers' Festival reminded us how powerful nature and community can be.

We chased northern lights, hiked rainforest trails, and watched the sun set over the west coast. It was a wild year of curiosity, creativity, and wonder guided entirely by nature.

Happy New Year, Forest Friends! We look forward to exploring the woods with you in 2026.

Read Between the Pines is happening tomorrow, and we're so excited to gather with our outdoor book club again!

While Wild Roots is not offering any Black Friday deals, we’d love to invite you to support local authors and artists this holiday season. If you’re looking for meaningful gifts, consider choosing novels from our 2025 book club lineup. It’s a wonderful way to shop small and share stories with the people you love.

Just spent the most beautiful morning at Vincent Massey Park guiding a Forest Therapy walk for Soul Space.

It was truly an honour to hold space for the wonderful folks from Centretown CHC. The work they do in our community is so important, and it felt special to offer them a chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, and breathe a little deeper.

I got to work alongside the kindest soul, Danielle, the amazing organizer behind and today’s walk!

Swipe to see our cozy setup in the sunshine next to the most stunning maple tree!

SOLD OUT before we even posted!

Our newest program, Wild Script: Theater in the Woods, filled up so fast that we didn’t even get a chance to announce it publicly!

If you're hoping to join us for future offerings, make sure you're signed up for our newsletter. Subscribers are always the first to know when registration opens. Link in bio!

Wild Script: Theater in the Woods is a fresh take on our Writing Wild program where nature, creativity, and community come together in a new form.

Just like Writing Wild, we will gather in the forest to explore our imaginations and deepen our connection to the natural world through storytelling.

But this time, we're doing something different.

Together, we will co-create an original play, shaping characters, dialogue, and scenes as a group. Through guided writing sessions, improvisation, and collaborative brainstorming, we will bring a story to life from the forest floor UP!

We will end our last session together with a table read around the campfire, sharing the story we have written with parents/guardians in the same place that inspired it.

Same spirit. New form. One story. Many voices. Rooted in the wild!
