Welcome to my page!

I love teaching Music for Young Children because it is the only child-centered music learning system that integrates keyboard, creative movement, rhythm, ear training, sight reading, music theory and composition.

I am passionate about combining fun fundamentals with sound instruction in a keyboard based program for children. Shana Anderson is a full time music teacher and has taught Music for Young Children classes for 16 years. I offer beginner MYC keyboard lessons for children in the Alta Vista Area. I also offer level two and three MYC classes for returning piano students.

Shana Anderson has achieved her Royal Conservatory of Music grade 8 piano, an Honours BA Specialization in Music and MA in Music. She studied with Canadian jazz legend Brian Browne and is currently studying classical piano music with Dr. Paul Merkley (Ph.D., FRSC, musician and professor).
