The UOIT-DC Outdoors Club will be hosting a two day Standard First Aid and CPR training event, with a bit of an outdoor spin added to some parts of it. We have it planned to be the weekend of March 29-30th. The course will take a total of 16 hours (8 hours each day) and will take place on the UOIT and Durham College North campus.
By Completing this course, you will recieve a Three Year (3) certification, First Aid manual, Certification Card, and Wall Certificate, all according to the Canadian Red Cross.
We are offering the course at a discounted rate, and you will only be paying for the cost of the training. Prices will vary depending on how many people we can get, however we can only certify a maximum of 18 members at once. If we can get 15 members, the cost of certification will only be $65. On average, courses such as this can cost up to $150.

Couldn't help but share this awesomeness.
Tuesday night will be an 11-year-old's 365th night sleeping in a tent in the family's back yard in Pennsylvania. Rain, snow, thunderstorms, heat...he didn't crack even once.
If you're interested, check out his blog of the experience!
