I share a lot of photos from around the web, and in NO WAY claim ownership to those that are not mine- if they are yours, let me know and I'll give you props! My intention is ONLY to share the love... Not to claim fame for any piece of media that doesn't belong to me!. The squirrels are quite capable of that on their own! :)

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is ILLEGAL to harbour wildlife in Ontario. The rule is this : "all rehabilitated immature wildlife outside a rabies High Risk Area shall be released as close as possible to where it was found up to a maximum distance of 15 km. The maximum release distance for adult wildlife will remain at 1 km".

οΏ½NOTE OF CAUTION!!!!! If you are faced with no hope of help for the orphan and are willing to let your moral obligation over-ride your legal one, then know this: bringing these little ones up is not for the weak.. a HUGE amount of time and energy is needed along with $$$ to invest in it's care and feeding. Also know this... That cuddly baby WILL 'wild up', and you WILL be bitten, to the bone. If you feel you canNOT invest the time, $ or energy times 100 (because this is how overburdened and frustrated you will feel some days!)... I will try to help you and lead you to the individuals and agencies that may be able to help you.

οΏ½ IF YOU FIND A BABY ---> SPEED IS OF THE ESSENCE. They dehydrate very quickly... Put the baby in a towel with warm bottle of water around it and either get the baby to someone who can help, or contact me to learn how to begin re-hydration.

Beneath the autumn leaves, Lucy and Casper are helping Rosie with the day’s washing. 🧺🍁

Lucy excitedly told Rosie that she received perfect marks in music class at school today. 🎢⭐ Casper then proudly shared that he built the β€œperfect” sandcastle at the sand table, and that some of the other children gathered around to ask him all sorts of questions about it. 🏰🐿️

The three squirrels worked, chatted, and laughed together until the sun began to sink low in the sky. πŸŒ…β€οΈ

The socks may have been hung a little crooked, and several clothespins may still need to be gathered from the grass, but this… this is truly where the magic lives. πŸ‚πŸ§Ίβœ¨

Small chores give young hearts a chance to grow. They teach patience, problem-solving, responsibility, and the quiet pride that comes from knowing you are needed and genuinely appreciated. 🌱❀️

Working together also creates the perfect opportunity to talk with our children about the things that are bothering them, exciting them, pleasing them, or simply to share a little lighthearted conversation. πŸ’•πŸ—£οΈ

Within that little circle of safety, children and parents learn about one another, share their thoughts, and work through life’s little problems together. πŸ€—β€οΈ
