To commemorate the 46th Anniversary of the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope, Dr. C. F. Cannon will be holding its annual run on Friday September 25th, 2026 (rain date Monday September 28th).

The event will take place at the school and students will be running/walking (be sure to wear running shoes) from 2:00 – 2:40 p.m. around the field.

Students are encouraged to dress in red and white to show their Canadian spirit.

This year, although students are asked to bring in a “Toonie for Terry” on the day of the run, we are also collecting small coils daily, “Small Change for Big Change.” Our goal this year is to raise $500.00. If we reach that goal we will have a celebratory assembly where a select group of staff volunteers will get a whipped cream pie in the face. If you would like to make a large contribution, please go to https://schools.terryfox.ca/DrCFCannonPSOshawa and donate.
