Beautiful Refinished Vintage Solid Wood Highboy Dresser

This timeless vintage highboy dresser has been professionally refinished to give it a fresh, elegant look while preserving its original character and craftsmanship.

The frame has been painted in Mothwing—a stunning new neutral while the solid wood drawer fronts have been carefully stripped, sanded, and paint washed using Burlap (both part of the new Melange Morphose paint collection) to showcase their natural wood grain. The original vintage hardware has been cleaned, restored & reinstalled, adding warmth and character that perfectly complements the new finish.

With five spacious drawers, this piece offers excellent storage while maintaining a relatively compact footprint, making it ideal for a bedroom, guest room, nursery, or even as a statement storage piece in an entryway.

Twilight did not disappoint! 💙🤩💙

This dresser was the second piece I’ve done for this client. I refinished one a while ago and listed it for sale on marketplace and she purchased it from me but recently reached out to ask if I could source out another similar piece for her and refinish it as a custom job. I love when clients come back to me like that! 🥰 And, I love that chose to have me do a custom stain blend on the top, with all new hardware and a beautiful moody grey/blue base—didn’t she choose a great colour combo?! 🤩💙

Here she is! 🤩
When I saw this poor old, beaten up, worn out desk show up on my local FBMP site for next to nothing listed as “junk furniture”, I knew I had to have it! 🤷‍♀️👏
These MCM style desks always sell for me…who doesn’t love long sexy legs right?! 👀 🦵
I drove about 10 mins away to pick it up and then promptly brought it into my garage to start working on this rescue mission! 😅
The legs were sanded down to bare wood and re-stained, new champagne gold hardware was added to all three drawers, and the body was painted in a custom greige I mixed up using some leftover Historic Beige and Junket 🤩
Now it looks like new and is ready to add some personality and class to your home office, space, kitchen, or bedroom! 🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍

Look at this little boys bedroom set that was just refinished in Vesper! 🤩
Isn’t it dreamy?! Who wouldn’t get a great sleep in a room like this?! 😴
My client’s grandfather originally handmade these pieces! She wanted to have them refinished for her adorable little boy and after a number of conversations, we came up with the idea to refinish the legs and pulls using a dark walnut stain and the remaining areas all in a dark navy! 😍
Vesper was the perfect choice as it pairs beautifully with the stain!🤎💙🤎
These pieces will now stay in the family for a number of years as they still have lots of love to give now that they’ve been saved and refinished to suit a more modern home! ❤️ 🏡
