Do you know about the 'wait' strategy? An expectant wait placed in the same place, each time you play a certain game, complete a routine, sing a song, read a book creates an opportunity for your little one to take a turn. Watch how this dad waits expectantly during their "red light, green light" game. Dad is rewarded when his son fills in the blank with the word, "go"!!
Remember that familiarity leads to predictability and you may have to pause dozens of times before your little one fills in the blank. Repetition, repetition, repetition!

Do you know that building a snowman together with your little one is an excellent way to help your little one calm and regulate?
Activities that require some muscle work to complete such as pushing, lifting, and carrying are referred to as heavy work activities and often help children to be calm and focused.
With all the beautiful, white snow outside let's all get our little ones outside helping them regulate and most importantly, having fun!!
