Hi, my name is Sharda ❤️
Here’s a little peek inside my story…
My passion for working with little ones began when I was a teenager. I have always had a natural love for being around children, watching them learn, grow, and discover the world around them. That passion inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming an educator right after high school.
I graduated from York University with an Honours BA and then went on to complete my Early Childhood Education diploma at Humber College.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in several childcare settings with a wide range of age groups, from infants to school-agers. I then had the privilege of working as a toddler teacher at a private International Baccalaureate (IB) school. This experience had a tremendous impact on me and helped shape the vision I had for my own program.
I wanted to create an environment where children could do more than simply be cared for. I wanted to help them learn, grow, become independent, build confidence, and reach important developmental milestones—all while feeling safe, loved, supported, and encouraged.
Following my experience at the IB school, I spent six years working with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), where I had the privilege of working alongside some truly amazing educators. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of what is expected of children as they transition into the public school system and helped me recognize the skills they need to feel confident and prepared for that next big step.
After years of learning, growing, and gathering experiences from both the positive and challenging sides of early childhood education, I finally decided it was time to pursue my dream of creating my own preschool program.
And that is how Little Brainiacs came to be. 🌸
At Little Brainiacs, my goal goes far beyond simply watching your little one. I want to help them become independent, confident, capable, and self-aware, while developing the academic, social, physical, and emotional skills they need for their transition into “big kid” school.
I believe in working hand in hand with families, because parents and educators are a team. Every child develops at their own pace, and I am passionate about supporting each little one through their individual journey, celebrating their accomplishments and helping them overcome their challenges along the way.
I take great pride in creating an environment where your child feels comfortable being themselves, encouraged to try new things, and excited to learn.
My passion goes far beyond childcare. I treat every little one as if they were my own, and their milestones are celebrated with love, care, patience, encouragement, and support. ❤️
I am so grateful to be a part of these little lives and to have the privilege of watching their stories blossom right in front of me.
This is my story. 🌸
And I hope your little one can become the next Little Brainiacs flower to blossom—while experiencing the power of their amazing brain. 🧠🌸🥰
