Senpaq’cin had 13 Grade 7 grads this year. This was the biggest cohort yet at our small community school. We send our congratulations to students, families, and education staff who made their final year one to remember! We know our students will move forward and make the world a better place.

Way to go, Heath!
🏆 ALL-STAR ALERT 🏆
Big shoutout to LCB #10 Heath Sarsons-Blythe (U11 Boys) for earning a Premier Hoops Circuit (PHC) All-Star selection this past weekend! The stats were nice, but what stood out most was the effort, hustle, and team-first attitude Heath brought every time he stepped on the floor. Whether it was making winning plays, battling for loose balls, or supporting his teammates, #10 earned every bit of recognition.
Drop a 👏 below to congratulate Heath on a great weekend!

Our primary classes enjoyed a fun-filled day at the Penticton Safety Village, learning about bike, fire, road, and electrical safety through engaging hands-on activities. The day wrapped up with lunch at Skaha Water Park, making it a memorable way to celebrate and conclude our Primary PSPE classes for the year.

Students from our Grade 5-7 classrooms participated in field trips to the South Okanagan Sailing Club. Amazing weather and incredible instruction made our days an experience to remember! The kids learned how to tie knots and rig a sailboat, as well as some basic sailing knowledge that helped them sail independently. It’s amazing to see how quickly our students learn new skills and to witness the courage that they have to try a new sport! Limlimt Spirit North and SOSA!

Last Fire Friday we made cornbread with chive butter, and our students stepped into the role of mixologists, creating a refreshing garden-inspired beverage using raspberries, mint, and siya.
Some students became bug detectives, exploring and observing the tiny life around us, while others challenged themselves on the slackline.
Some of intermediate students focused on making drums, carefully working through the process and learning through hands-on creation.
Overall It was a full, meaningful day of learning on the land—building skills, curiosity, and connection with one another.

Students from SPC had the honour of singing and drumming at the opening of the new OIB nursery, with sxʷmamayəm Trenton today.
Ms. Munckhof’s Grade 6/7 class, along with students from the SPC Fire Friday program, and SPC staff also contributed beautiful works of art that were gifted as part of the grand opening festivities. Their creations added a special touch of generosity, gratitude, and creativity to the occasion.
limləmt to everyone involved in making the celebrations a success.

The Grade 6 Year End Trip was a grand success. We ventured to Silver Lake Forest Education Centre for two days and one night. Lots of fun was had and students wished to stay all week. By the end of our visit, our muscles were sore from all the activities, and even our faces hurt from all the laughs! BEST trip ever!
PS Silver Lake has excellent summer camp opportunities for kids! Check it out.
