I’ve hardly been on the water this summer, especially compared to summers in the past. July was largely rainy & August has been consumed with grief and familial arrangements.

I’m grateful that Nolan and I took some time today to try and disconnect and enjoy nature. I was unfortunately in my thoughts and feels more than I wanted to be. The most fish action Nolan got is shown in the video at the end… 😂🐟

I am just going to keep taking it day by day. ✨

I finally got a better handheld light for my makeup photos and I’m SO happy! I FINALLY feel like my makeup is photographing/videoing how it looks in person… it’s only taken me 6 years to nail down my set up! 😮‍💨
But how GORGEOUS is this bridesmaid from this morning’s wedding?! I’m obsessing over this lip colour on her! 😍

A little rainy girls’ morning on the lake is what we needed! 💕 Sage and I hopped on my new paddle board and met up with Jose King and did two laps around Strubel Lake! Sage fully fell in once and then half fell in as we were wrapping up for the day. She did great and I think she’s enjoying the fact that I took most of this month off from makeup! I’m excited to see what kind of other adventures we get up to this summer. 🐶 ☀️

My first bride of the 2026 season was such an absolute delight to work with! It was such a beautiful morning with a wonderful crew of ladies. If this is a preview as to how this wedding season will go, I’m in for a treat! 😍

A little shoutout to .yqf for always giving my brides the best facials pre wedding for the most flawless applications! 💕

On a side note, maybe this will prompt me to continue posting all of the other brides, grads, bridesmaids and moms that I have saved on my camera roll.

From the depths of my camera roll…

I have way too many gorgeous faces hiding in my photos that I REALLY need to post more regularly 🥹 all of their beauty deserves to be shared! ✨💕

I’m feeling so incredibly blessed, relaxed and happy 🥹 I’m truly happiest on, in or around the water so this vacation is exactly what my Soul needed. ✨

I once saw a quote that said “build a life you don’t need a vacation from” and at first thought, I understand the sentiment. But in the same breath, I love my life but I still want to be able to disconnect from it all to reconnect with my Soul, my husband and experience new parts of the world. 🌍

I’m incredibly fortunate to have a career and small business that allows me to take these kinds of opportunities. I know I’m very lucky to also have a husband who not only loves travelling with me but also has a job that makes this possible. 🌊

We’re halfway through our vacay and I’ve fallen in love with Belize and I can’t wait to come back again! ☀️

As I enter my 33rd year on this earth, I want to share some reflections I’ve been going through as I look back on my life so far.

32 was a year of uncomfortable growth, tightening my circle and coping with grief and loss in many different ways.

The past year, but especially the past 6 months or so, I’ve really began working on unpacking what my Soul desires. What really makes me, me? What lights up my heart? What do I align with at my core?

I’ve been going to the same therapist for over 6 years now and recently I decided to embark on a mentorship journey with Sarah () in an effort to reclaim my Soul. This work has been groundbreaking and life changing, so much so that I feel almost a “rebirth” as I enter my 33rd year. ✨

I look forward to continue sharing with you all this journey that I’ve been on, what I’ve learned and what I’m still questioning. I know this page is technically a makeup artistry page but I also believe in sharing the other parts of my life that help make me who I am. Maybe, some of the things I share with resonate with someone else, maybe not, but I hope the authenticity is recognized in a world of highlight reels.
