🌹⬇️ Try this rose visualization as part of your birth prep!
Mental imagery as a birth tool is a powerful way to prepare the mind and body for birth.
The nervous system responds to what we see - whether it’s real or imagined (which I think is incredible and gives us so much power!).
When the brain sees a visual of something opening, the body naturally responds.
This means when we visualize a rose unfolding, the body begins soften.
Having a picture of a rose (or any other flower) blooming will help relax the mind, and promote softening and opening of the cervix.
On Valentine’s Day, when roses are everywhere, make this an opportunity to practice your visualization!
This is something we explore in Rooted & Ready 🌹
Next series starts March 3! Come learn how to use visualization as a real, evidence-based tool for birth prep.

⬇️ I switched care providers in my third trimester…twice.
I’m sharing this because alignment matters. Feeling heard, respected, and supported in your care matters.
I want to acknowledge that not everyone has the option to change providers depending on where they live and what resources are available.
If you feel like a switch would best serve you and your baby, don’t assume it’s too late. In both my pregnancies, I was able to transfer to a different midwifery clinic after 30 weeks.
If you’re feeling stuck or unsure, let this be your reminder: you’re allowed to ask questions and explore your options. It may not always work out, but sometimes it does, and it can be worth the try. 🤍
How you feel about your care team during your pregnancy deeply matters!
You’re invited to a gentle prenatal webinar where we’ll explore simple ways to soften tension, support your nervous system, and reconnect with your body.
We’ll close with a slow prenatal, yoga sequence, offering a moment to rest, ground, and gently settle into your birth journey ✨

⬇️ You don’t need to be taught how to birth.
You need to learn how to reconnect to the inner wisdom that’s already within you so you can trust your body, your baby, and the birth process fully.
That’s exactly what we do inside Birthing Essentials: Rooted & Ready 🙌🏼
If you want to deepen your connection to your body & baby, understand anatomy and how labour actually works, speak up and use your voice to advocate for yourself and your baby throughout your pregnancy…you are in the right place 🤸🏼‍♀️
A common question asked in birth education classes is:
How will I know when to push?
And the answer is simple! Your body will tell you!
Physiological pushing begins when your body (and baby) are ready.
The instinctive urge to push is your body doing exactly what it was designed to do.
When you’re connected, present, and supported, the urge to push is an unmistakable. There’s no guessing or forcing.
Your body will tell you when it’s time.
This is the mind-body connection at work!
