I was over the moon to have my pastel, "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" accepted into this year's Burlington Fine Art Association's juried show, The Artist's Mark - especially when I saw the quality of artwork that my BFAA art friends were submitting! Thank you to jurors Marlo Panko and Clarence Porter and congratulations to my fellow artists and the Artists Mark committee, chaired by Cecily Flemming, for all of your time and preparation behind the scenes. The show begins on Oct 18th and continues until Saturday Oct 31, 2026. The official opening and awards night will take place Thursday Oct 22 from 6 - 9pm at the Hub, Burlington Centre Mall, 777 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ontario.

Artists for Outreach is an art fundraiser for St Christopher's parish, 662 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ontario. St Christopher's is a welcoming, safe place that serves local and extended communities in Halton region with meals, food, employment assistance, clothing, daycare and other essential services for those in need. Join this group of wonderful artists who are donating a portion of their sales to support this wonderful fundraiser. Friday Oct 23, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm is a ticketed preview night, Saturday Oct 24 from 9am to 5:30 is open to the public. The opening reception is Sunday Oct 10 from 1:30 - 3:30pm. The show continues until Jan 17, 2027.

What a wonderful evening last night at the opening reception for the Fine Art Association of Milton (FASM)'s 2026 juried exhibition. I was deeply honoured to receive an Honourable Mention for my pastel painting, "Indian Summer on the Humber River Trail". What made it even more special was sharing this with my kindred spirit art friends from the BFAA. Thank you to Fine Art Milton members who worked hard behind the scenes to create such a wonderful experience for artists and a beautifully mounted show. Thanks too to the jurors Joanne Poluch of Remarque Art Consulting and Claudia Pettigrew from Summer and Grace Gallery and congratulations to my fellow artists. The show at Holcium Gallery, 1010 Main St E, Milton, Ontario, will continue until Oct 3, 2026.

Thank you to everyone who came by the Art Gallery of Burlington's Artist in Residence Open House yesterday. It was great to have an opportunity to discuss my artwork, my painting media and my creative process in person. As one of the AGB’s first cohort of Community Generator Artists-in-Residence, it was great to share my series with my fellow Artists in Residence and learn about their creative processes, exploration of media and their experiences as an Artists in Residence. Thank you again to Suzanne Carte and the Learning team for the opportunity to have access to AGB's studio space to develop a body of artwork an artist in residence this year.

Thank you to the hundreds of art lovers who visited Oakville's "Art in the Garden" exhibition today. We were blessed with wonderful weather! It was great to catch up with friends, students, neighbours and local art lovers. A big thank you to those who travelled from further afield to visit this exhibition. Your support for my art practice is much appreciated! A final thanks to the Art in the Garden organizers, many volunteers and gracious owners of the many homes in Old Oakville who allowed us to use their boulevards to display our artwork.
