Good morning beautiful people!!

I just wanted to share this because I think it is important to remind ourselves that handmade items are always made with so much love, special attention, and care.

Generally speaking, no two custom pieces are EVER the same!! (Especially with my "work")

That knowledge should add value to the handmade items we are acquiring - especially from small businesses/artists.

In my case.... I am "self-taught"

That means HOURS UPON HOURS of:
* designing/hand drawing
(yes!! I personally design and/or hand draw every single cake/cupcake concept I make - sometimes with a bit of inspiration from my valued clients)
* looking up inspiration cakes/recipes
* shopping
* driving/delivering
* testing recipes, frosting, flavor combinations, designs, etc....
* practicing
* trial and error
* tears
* stress
* doubt and nervousness
* frustration
* lack of sleep
* waste.... etc....

It also means:
* uniqueness
* special care
* attention to detail
* perfectionism
* pride
* perseverance
* joy
* laughter
* excitement
* smiles, that light up a room, with the finished products

Please consider ALL of this when you are considering a small business/hand-maker.

I have ALWAYS loved the holiday season; despite some years being harder or less enjoyable than others.... That's just a fact of life for some....

For years I have wanted to offer holiday treats platters.... I just haven't had the time or the days and weeks escape me and before we know it a new year has come.

Well.... A couple of weeks ago I got a request for some Holiday platters and here they are. So many different flavours and options.... I had so much fun.

It has been a little while since I've been on here.

You might recall I worked two full time jobs this summer and have also been completing a final portion of school.

In October I had an unfortunate injury that I have been doing physio and so on for.... I don't let much slow me down but there was concern with the my shoulder, arm, and side (ribs). Some days are almost unbearable.

I try not to let it interfere too much with what I love.... Baking!!

I've had a couple of very special orders lately and wanna share.

The first photos are my signature cinnamon roll cupcakes with vanilla cream cheese frosting.

The track cake was an even split of vanilla, chocolate, and marble cupcakes to form this cupcake cake for a very special 4 year old's birthday.

Soccer themed cake and cupcakes. Chocolate fudge cake with vanilla buttercream and vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.

Last week saw me baking:

* 6 banana breads (not pictured); 3 plain, 2 chocolate chip and one berry blast

* This beautifully delicious carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (for a school assignment)

* 8 dozen muffins; 2 dozen oatmeal choco chocolate chip, 2 dozen oatmeal "craisin", 2 dozen carrot, 1 dozen raisin bran and 1 dozen cranberry & white chocolate bran {shhh don't tell anyone these were my favourite!!!!}

Sometimes creative freedom can be scary and other times my visions come to life ✨😁

These beauties went to their little birthday girl today!!

* chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream
* fireworks cupcakes (vanilla with sprinkles) with vanilla swirl buttercream

Topped with moulded chocolates and Moana stickers and tattoos 😄😄
