â You donât need to be flexible to squat like this.
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is:
âI canât squat like that.â
My response?
You donât have to⌠yet.
A deep squat is a skill that can be developed with patience and consistency.
Using yoga blocks gives your body the support it needs while your ankles, hips, knees, and nervous system gradually adapt to the position. As your mobility improves, you simply reduce the height until one day, the squat feels natural.
Practicing a deep squat can help:â¨â˘ Improve hip, ankle, and knee mobilityâ¨â˘ Build strength and stability in your end rangesâ¨â˘ Make everyday movements easierâ¨â˘ Keep you moving well as you age
Donât compare your starting point to someone elseâs finish line.
Meet your body where it is today, and give it the opportunity to improve.
⨠Save this post and spend just a few minutes practicing each day. Small, consistent steps lead to lasting change.
