PREPAREDNESS: People that are ready ahead of time, the less panic needs to happen during an event. Here is a list of items to have ready:

-*full tank of gas AHEAD of time! (Don’t go past half a tank, keep it full)

-medications

-paper list of important contacts/locations

-cash

-IDs

-several liters of drinking water ready to go (fill old juice jugs or jars)

-non-perishable foods/ juice boxes

-animal food/items(leash/kennel)

-paper map

-pen and paper

-2 flashlights (1 usb type and 1 battery type) (headlamps are great)

-toilet paper

-first aid kit

-blanket and towel

-grab and go backpack

-garbage bags/ziplock bags

Extras:

-portable charger

-soap/toothbrush/toothpaste

-flip flops or shoes

-hat

-radio

-sleeping bags

-mini stove

-cutlery

-camping knife

More:

-pliers(multitool)

-deck of cards

-solar charger

-generator/power bank

-towel(s)

-camp chairs

-tent

-tarp

💁‍♀️wear a bright coloured swim suit!! Yellow, pink or orange!! 🩱🩳
💁‍♀️always swim with a friend, buddy system 👯
💁‍♀️and of course, wearing a lifejacket and know before you go! Weather conditions, open water hazards, making wise choices, drinking or not to drink, that is the question! 🍻 yep, I said it! 🛶
