And that’s a wrap on the 2023/2024 school year! Thank you to all of our volunteers and thank you for supporting our PAC! We wish you a happy, healthy summer filled with fun and relaxation!

Congratulations to the Grade 7's and all the best to them as they venture into high school!

Join meeting on Teams 06/10/2024

Tonight is our last PAC meeting of the year followed by our AGM, please join us! We’re looking to fill two positions next year, PAC chair and communications coordinator which will be voted on at this meeting.

Are you curious how the PAC supports the school? Here's some of what we did this year...
$1000 for new sports jerseys
$1000 for equipment in the music room
$3000 for library books
$2000 to library improvements including new furniture
$1000 for Wills Jams
$1700 for Artists in the Class
$1000 Authors in the School
$500 clubs
$500 gr 12 scholarship
$1500 for outdoor improvement projects I clouding garden boxes in front of kindergarten classes
$200/division that teachers can use for supplies, books, craft supplies or to subsidize field trips!

And we continue to raise money to go towards future outdoor improvement projects.

Other things that happen because of the PAC:
Hot lunch program
Popcorn days
Halloween dance
Fun Fair

All of these things happen only with the support of all of the families at Ecole Hammond Bay who support the fundraisers and volunteer to make these events and programs a success.

To all those who helped run stations, donated cupcakes, donated raffle items, and were go-to runners (looking at the many young people involved) to move things from here to there.

PAC meeting Monday, June 10th @ 8pm followed by our AGM via Microsoft Teams!

*we are looking to fill two PAC positions for the upcoming school year*
1: PAC Chair
2: Communications Coordinator

Without a PAC chair we cannot have a PAC! Please consider joining. Our PAC runs fun events like hot lunch, dances and the fun fair, all which raise money for our school. Without a PAC chair we will not be able to continue on with these important fundraisers!

Approval of AGM Minutes from Monday June 15: LS, EK

Treasurer: see above re: budget
Election of Executives: Thank you to EK for serving as Treasury for three years
(2020-2023). Thank you to TPR for serving as Secretary for serving for three years
(2020-2023).
Thank you to LS for serving as Chair for three years (2020-2023). LS has kindly offered to stay for another year (2023-2024) with the understanding of having a Vice Chair – this
will facilitate the transition. The Vice Chair (2023-2024) will be supported by the Chair
and will learn the position and become Chair the for the following years (2024-2027).
The following PAC Executives positions were filled for the
2023-2024 school year:
a. Chair: Leslie Sansalone by acclamation
b. Vice Chair: Jamie Checkley by acclamation
c. Secretary: Stacey Daniels by acclamation
d. Treasurer: Ron Makowichuk by acclamation
e. DPAC rep: Julia Evans by acclamation
f. Communications Manager – Amanda Friesen by acclamation
LS made a motion to accept the above names as the PAC Executive. AF seconded,
motion carried.
Congratulations to all!

2. New Business
a. Next PAC meeting: Monday September 11 2023 1930
b. Next AGM: June meeting immediately following final PAC meeting of
school year
c. Signing Authority: LS made a motion to remove Erin Kenning as a
signing authority from the Hammond Bay PAC and for the 2023-2024 signing
authorities for the General and Gaming accounts of the Hammond Bay PAC
will be Leslie Sansalone and Ron Makowichuk. Seconded by TPR. Motion
carried.

🎈 FUN FAIR TODAY!! 🎈

If you bought a wristband or tickets via Munchalunch:
- there will be separate line at the ticket table on on the middle field for these prepaid items. They are under the name of the person who purchased them.

If you didn’t preorder your wristbands or raffle tickets you can still buy them today at the fair!

This is a *cash only* event, please bring cash!

5. Reports
5.1 Administration - Shannon Appland
β€’ Survey results back from community and staff regarding added bell time.
Majority voted for 3 minutes added to after school. New bell schedule will be
8:35am - 2:18am and will be announced on Fridays memo.
β€’ Request has been made to RDN to change the bus schedule from 8:10am drop
off to 8:20am. Time change does not affect any bell schedules along hammond
bay rd and eliminates early wait time for children.
β€’ Megan Barritt-Flatt has accepted a Vice Principle position at Randerson Ridge
starting September 2024.
β€’ Sandy Posnikoff is retiring.
β€’ The pickle ball club trained staff and has helped with a grant combined with the
PE funds for our school to buy 24 rackets. Looking for funds to buy 6 more.

Gaming Account - $20,188.00
β€’ Teacher disruptments are continually going out. Receipts will be accepted till
the end of May unless prior arrangements have been made.
β€’ Mme. Erin has maxed out the $3000.00 allotted to new books and new future
for the library.
β€’ Gaming grant application due June 30th.
β€’ Starting now to decipher the budget for the 2024/2025 school year. Budget
voting will be the fall.

6. New Business
6.1 Outdoor Planning - Kristy Mac Donald
β€’ Received higher than expected playground manufacturer quotes. Quotes
have been sent to facilities. First overall step is to receive approval from
facilities for each project.
β€’ Capital gaming grant is a one time project grant for $50,000 available for
PACs. The grant closes June 30th.
β€’ Volunteer and Info Booth will be set up at school Fun Fair.
β€’ PAC will have a table at Welcome To Kindergarten
6.2 Fundraising
β€’ Fun Fair Date is Friday, June 7th 4pm-7pm.
β€’ Sales will be sold in advance on munchalunch or cash on day of.
β€’ Tickets are being replaced with a flat rate wristband that has unlimited access
to all field games, bouncy castles and cupcake walk. Everything else will be
cash only.
6.3 Things To Come
β€’ Grade 7 trip and celebration end of June.
β€’ Zone Meet - May 29th
β€’ District Meet - June 13th
β€’ Welcome To Kindergarten - May 30th
