Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never made it home.
Remembrance is essential, but it is only the first step. True reconciliation requires active learning, listening, and meaningful action.
Today, we wear orange to declare that Every Child Matters—past, present, and future. We encourage everyone to take time today to listen to Indigenous voices, reflect on the ongoing impacts of the residential school system, and commit to the ongoing work of truth and healing.
