So true . . .

These Betta hammocks are amazing and an affordable way to spoil your Betta. We are starting to use them for our rescue Bettas. They love them.

Remember your Betta is a labyrinth breather - so if you can make it easier for them to get to the air in your aquarium - you’ll have a healthier and happier fish.

Write if interested and we will connect you.

Looking for love? Look no further! Meet Delaria - a tiny orange and red female Koi Betta.

Delaria is happy and always busy exploring. She’s young and still tiny - and the bonus is that she is snail friendly.

She has not been tested with other tank mates (e.g., Cory Catfish) - and because she is a female koi - who tend to be aggressive - we recommend that she be an only child.

A fully-cycled planted tank is recommended for our girl. Write and ask about our beautiful Delaria! 🙂

BETTAS are talented JUMPERS!

This is one of my personal Bettas, a past rescue, named Genevieve. Don’t you just love that face?

But don’t let that face fool you - she must live with a cover on her aquarium at all times. She lives in a fully-planted Fluval tank - with an opening down the middle of the lid. Even that small strip must have netting on it.

How do I know she will jump? Years ago I learned the hard way with a Betta I absolutely loved. She also lived in a Fluval tank with a lid, but I came down one morning to find that she had somehow gotten out through that small opening. 🙁

So please - when I advise you that the Betta you are adopting from us needs a fully covered tank (with small openings for air) - please listen.

I do understand that accidents happen - I even had a Betta jump excitedly out of her tank when I was trying to feeding her - luckily she wasn’t hurt and I was able to carefully scoop her up and get her right back into the tank. But trust me - they can jump out in a flash - I barely lifted the lid.

Thanks for listening to my concerns everyone. I know others may have different opinions on this - but from my experience - these little jumpers need a lid on their tank and I will continue to ask my adopters to please have one on your tank.

And, as I always, I am here to help and provide support and advice when you need it. 🩷

Feel free to write anytime. -M

Happy Updates: Both Girls Found Lovely Forever Homes

—————————

Welcome Arya and Alisha to Nasya’s Betta Rescue.

Like Nasya (whom the rescue is named after) they are considered female Koi Bettas.

They will both be doing a 5-day course of meds and observation; and of course both are enjoying their heated / aerated hospital tanks with a Betta log and other things to make them feel comfortable.

Welcome to Nasya’s Arya and Alisha! More photos and information to come on these beautiful little ladies.
