Get Your Knit ON – The Rain Shadow Shawl is LIVE
Find Rain Shadow on Ravelry or on Etsy, whichever you prefer to shop! I have been working on a year long Blanket Square project. Threads of Colour – a Year in Squares, each month a different square in a different stitch pattern and each month a “fancy”, a little extra something. The April Square featured this stitch and once knit, I couldn’t stop thinking about making it up as a shawl....

Knit on a whim. Inspired by writings and images of vintage pin cushions, Dazzling Daisy just makes me smile. I am so happy that you like her too.
It's the start of a new month and a new square for the Theads of Colour group.
Sun-Ray June Square now available for free on Ravelry. This square is part of the Threads of Colour - A Year in Squares.

Monthly Knitting Adventures: June 2026
June Square and Fancy It has been an epic month. The reno is complete, the storage locker is empty and the house is currently a work in progress with stacks of boxes in each room. Rain Shadow Shawl was entirely inspired by the new to me stitch I chose for the April Square. I loved the way the stitches moved. It immediately inspired this triangular shawl. …...

’ve been working on a year-long knitting project called Threads of Colour: A Year in Squares.
Each month, I design a new square exploring colour, texture, and pattern—building a blanket over time.
We are five months and seven squares along.
It’s flexible and easy to join at any stage.
If you’d like to follow along or take part, I’ve created a group here: [https://www.facebook.com/groups/1587569399330205]
This is a must read! So crazy!

May’s Colorful Knitting Adventures and Garden Inspirations – And a Reno Update
Flowers play a big part in my love of colour. Vivid colour, mixed colour and glorious abandon to colour. One of the exciting things of a new home is watching the garden come to life. This garden is more minimal than my last. That will change as the season progresses and I get to work on my landscaping plans. I have discovered that I have a Lilac bush....
