Attention Indigenous Grads!
Important - Gifts and Regalia Survey

To celebrate completing high school, we want to present our Indigenous students with a cultural gift as a token of congratulations on your accomplishment. Please fill out the following survey ASAP to provide us with the necessary information for us to ensure all students are acknowledged.
Only students that are eligible to cross the stage will receive a gift.
Ony students that complete the survey will receive the graduation gift or sash if they indicated they would like one on the form.
This is our way to ensure that gifts and Indigenous regalia items for the ceremony are available to the correct people, and don't get lost afterwards.
If you have any questions, please ask Ms Draper or Mr Valliere.

FIELD TRIP CANCELLED

Hi Everyone, I'm sorry to announce that today we heard from the organizers of the March 5 Indigenous Legal Career Day that due to venue problems they have to postpone the event until the fall. I'm really sorry, especially for any graduating students, that we couldn't take you to this great opportunity. If you have questions about postsecondary pathways and careers, please connect with Mr Valliere.

We will be organizing a group to go in October - anyone who already asked to be on the list - thank you! You're top of the list for the fall when the event is ready for us.

Calling all high school students and their caregivers!!

St Albert Métis Local 1904's Red Willow Program will be hosting Rupertsland for a “Metis Access to post-secondary” information sessions. These sessions are open for all registered Métis members of District 11 in grades 10 to 12 who are considering post-secondary, as well as their parents or caregivers.

We strongly encourage you to attend if you have, or are, a student in grade 10-12. This program offers support to Métis high school students on their journey to post-secondary, focusing on the important transition between high school and post-secondary and the education or training needed to meet a student’s career goals.

We encourage students to bring their own laptop or tablet so they can sign up for the program while they are here. If they attend and sign up, they get entered to win a graphing calculator, or an iPad. This will be provided by Ruperstland and the draw will be made at the end of the session before everyone leaves.

If this hasn't convinced you to attend, then here are some additional benefits:

Benefits for students:

Access and support to apply for funding resources, application support, scholarship information and more.

Access to career related materials and assessments.

Information about career fairs and post-secondary tours.

Building cultural and community connections to support long term academic success.

Knowledge on Rupertsland Institute workshops and events.

We really want to see you there!

Information Session: February 10th from 11 am to 1 pm.

Lunch will be served.

#200 – 15 Rowland Crescent, St Albert.

To register please email Amanda Patrick at [email protected] with your first name, last name, grade and high school.
