Seemingly a contradiction, but not,
secularism is the best way to preserve religious freedom.
It prevents religious identity politics from disrupting society,
while preserving the right of individuals to practice as they wish.
And it provides the means for diverse beliefs to be incorporated into society,
and in ways that respect the commonly held rules and practices of that society;
not harming the established collective lifestyle or dividing its people.
This enculturation requires time, cannot be legislated or imposed,
but promises a genuine national religious diversity.

No form of religious nationalism comes from an all-loving God.
Apropos, paraphrasing the mystic Rumi:
If his act were not the inspiration of God,
he would then be a dog rendering its prey,
not a king.

It’s hellish for many,
too often confusing the logical mind.
Surrendering to God is trusting God has your back.
In God’s way and time, easing your suffering,
facilitating the right success for you.
The heavenly vision on earth,
faith has its way.
Whatever knowledge the master
is known to have,
with it the souls of his pupils are imbued:
The theologian imbues with theology;
the master of law with jurisprudence.
The master who is absorbed in the Way
will help the seeker become absorbed in God.

Over human history the choice has been clear, the spiritual challenge great.
You either devote your life to getting as much as you possibly can, or, you choose to be the most lovingly giving person humanly possible.
History has shown we’ve never been able to do both in right measure. Instead, we compete with one another as if strangers,
selfishly harming body, mind, and spirit.
Independence the poison, greed the disease.
Everyone knows acting hateful and mean is wrong,
but still we don’t rid ourselves of it.
Selling our souls to selfish ways,
God refused, told instead, “Not now, later, as I choose”.
As if we’re the only ones worthy of God’s grace,
everyone else lowly sinners, deserving of our wrath.
Pray tell, what God is everyone listening to?
