After the success of our previous Shakespeare workshops, I am launching another Acting Shakespeare Workshop. This is an 8-week intensive that promises to transform your acting skills, not only in Shakespeare but in all other genres as well. We will address the areas an actor needs to master to find ease in Shakespearean acting, providing extensive physical and vocal training and the skills and knowledge necessary for working with Shakespeare’s plays. Our goal is to have you find the ease and enjoyment of acting Shakespeare and experience the fun of it.
Not only will this workshop make you a strong Shakespearean actor, but it will also help you be a better actor in contemporary productions as well. The workshop will strengthen your ability to learn lines quickly, find the underlying story in any script, and find the heart of any character.
This workshop will be coached by Jock MacDonald, who was trained in Shakespeare and Shakespearean acting at BADA, Oxford University, England. More importantly, he has three seasons of acting in major roles in professional Shakespearean festivals.
The workshop is by invitation only, adding to the exclusivity. Past Straeon members will be given priority and a discount, making them feel valued. New actors to Straeon must submit a photo and resume, ensuring the quality of participants.
