Of course I wanna look good.
So do you
But you hold back.
I held back for years too.
There's still more I'm holding back even now after 10 years of deep work
Why?
Why do you hold back?
Because you don't understand that its not about looking good.
It's not about money
It's not about anything
Except
How you feel.
And if you want to feel more
Just allow yourself to feel more.
Things will move and change
And you'll end up somewhere much better than you even imagined
Trust yourself to be able to handle it.
Chances are you won't die.

This is a clip from this months Combat Sport Specialized Training and Injury Recovery workshop discussing How to sue slow lowers as a recovery tool.
was feeling tension in his triceps for a long time due to being stuck in a contracted position there from practicing striking all the time.
When a tissue is stuck in 1 position all the time its effectiveness goes down.
After a pushup slow lower in which we use the biceps to open up and relax the triceps he felt his elbow feeling way better.
AFTER 1 REP. what if he incorporates it weekly in his training?
He'd be so much looser and more powerful in his punches!
What is your 💢MAIN PROBLEM💢 you're having?
Injury?
Pain?
Stress?
Whether its physical or mental!
Leave a Comment and I'll send you some quick tips that will help.
Because everyone's body is different.
Because our goals are different.
Because our willingness to experience certain sensations and emotions is different.
I don't believe in a one size fits all.
Yes, certain things are universal, like everyone needs a healthy heart and there's a basic way to train for that.
But it needs to FIT INTO YOUR LIFE
No someone else's idea of what your life SHOULD look like.

For God's sake stop waiting for injuries to heal on their own.
Like seriously, take it from someone who used to muck around in pain for weeks and months after getting hurt.
It's so discouraging to be in constant pain.
It's disheartening
You want to get back to your sport
You want to get back to training ALL OUT
And guess what?
You can get there way faster than you think, but you gotta give your body the right stimulus for it to RESPOND IN KIND WITH ACCELERATED HEALING.
Isometrics and slow lowers are like steroids for this.
No seriously.
I think I hear some sports science people saying how isometrics and slow lowers held to failure will literally make your body produce more androgens which IS LITERALLY WHAT STEROIDS ARE!
This s**t is painful to be sure but I guarantee you've never felt so good as after a slow lower.
Voilence: this is what rebounds are for.
Striking power.
Ground up power.
The ability to BE LOOSE and then INSTANTLY LOCKED IN.
Every strike, every throw, every shot
If you stiffen up you loose speed.
If you can't lock in you lose power.
REBOUNDS WILL MAKE YOU REACTIVELY STRONG.
Your feet and legs reactive against the ground.
Your arm reactive against the impact of a punch.
Your whole body reactive against your opponents weight.
You get the idea.

Join my next workshop and learn REBOUNDS.
These suckers are absolute killers.
The burn gets crazy, and you fail surprisingly fast.
The key is to teach your body to stay in it,
To contract everything fast
And to contract everything TOGETHER!
These can be made very sport specific:
If you're a volume puncher for example you should train these at high volume, focusing on sticking the position where you usually land a punch.
If the fight demands for max single efforts, build yourself up to Rebound a 1 rep max and watch your power capacity explode.

By the way if anyone is wondering why we do isometrics or static holds:
If you have any sort of chronic tension?
This is the fix
Tendinitis?
This is the fix
Pulled something?
Find a way to do a static on it so that your brain starts to trust it again.
Torn ACL?
Do anything isometrics on your knee and knee will learn how to stabilize itself without the ACL.
This s**t is brutal
But powerful.
Don't avoid it just coz it sucks.
Being in chronic pain sucks more.
Hi Shannon
My elbow hurts....but....
It's not because I did something wrong.
It's just feedback.
The inner interpretation of the pain matters more than the pain.
And
The feeling matters more than the number of reps.

Can you allow yourself to go to those places inside yourself?
Can you understand that there is no good or bad emotion?
That it's just energy
And energy needs to move
And the intention behind how you move that energy is what dictates its "goodness" or "badness" FOR YOU?
Does the intention match what YOU are looking for?
Here is why Mobility Training is essential 👇
Mobility training isn't flexibility.
Its about maintaining the health and integrity of your joints
AND
making them better.
Better joints =
stronger lifts
resilience against injury
more capacity translated to your sport.
It's non-negociable.
Every time you get and injury-
your brain will turn off a bit of access to that joint.
For example, you pull a pec.
Your brain will turn off parts of your shoulder range of motion to prevent you from reinjuring it.
Bench pressing by itself won't get you 100% back...
Read that again!
Why?
Because it doesn't require you to use the whole range of motion,
So you won't know which parts aren't working anymore unless you do mobility drills. HARD.

After an injury,
You have to retrain your joint through the full range again!
These mobility drills are just a few examples of what we covered in last month's Workout-Workshop at
I will post more of what we did soon.
