好吃
What do we do every day?
That’s right, we eat! 饺子, 火锅, 面条... There are so many kinds of meals!
Since we eat and discuss food every day, we got a list of words that can replace ‘delicious’ in your speech. Let’s talk more interestingly!
1) tasty
That’s just the same word. Any time you eat something 好吃, use this to describe it:
- This is a tasty burger!
2) yummy
Again, it means the same, but be careful. It sounds childish, so we do not recommend to use it on a business meeting:
- Hmmm, this ice-cream is so yummy…
3) mouth-watering
Sometimes you just look at a meal or smell its flavour, and you instantly feel some water in your mouth:
- I can’t wait to try this steak. It looks mouth-watering.
4) appetizing
It’s not actually about the taste, but about the look or the flavor of a meal. You see it, and you want to eat this:
- You feel this appetizing flavor? I want to try it!

We’re starting a series of publications about the Chinese dialect of English Language.
