As the world panics, I see rest! As a nation we don’t know how to stop. But we are always needing more time, always talking about slowing down, wanting the course load to slow down, wanting to have time to just relax. Well I see a perfect opportunity now. Take this time to just enjoy being.
This is an opportunity...
an opportunity to rest,
an opportunity to slow down,
an opportunity to read the book you’ve been wanting to read and haven’t gotten around to, an opportunity to go for a run or long walks,
an opportunity to just be!
Enjoy this time, it won’t last long

Happy new year ... start the year with not being afraid to make needed and necessary changes to let your heart speak truth of what you want to do, where you want to go, how you want to live. Don’t look at what others are doing around you, look within yourself! Life is unpredictable with many twists and turns but each person has their own journey and their own story but remember you live a much more meaningful life when you look within to write the chapters of your own story rather than trying to follow what others are doing because you think that’s what you are supposed to do. Live well!!

You are on a path and you may feel completely lost. It may seem that everyone has it figured out around you and you are the only one that is lost. Let me remind you that not everyone takes the same straight path. Feelings of being lost are just signals of being on a path that may not be right for you. But the good news is that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, this just means an opportunity to discover other avenues and truly listen to yourself to propel you towards something better. Remember students: academics and your career is a marathon not a sprint! There is no hurried timeline to figure it all out. Choose well, choose wisely! As my professor once told me, “not knowing what you want to do is a good problem! It only means having options in front of you and different paths to experience! “
