We are excited to present to you our other student speaker Laurence Liang, who will discuss about having "A Leap of Faith". To hear more about his talk at our event, do not forget to register on our website (link in bio)!
“A Leap of Faith” explores humankind’s search for meaning in life and illustrates science’s limits in answering the big questions about our role and existence in the universe. As an alternative, this presentation spotlights taking a “leap of faith”: a core tenet of a philosophical movement called existentialism, which opens the door to alternate perspectives to understand our place in the world, and our duty to solve the pressing challenges of the 21st century.
Laurence Liang is studying Honours Health Sciences at Marianopolis College and has developed computer models to analyze interactions between genes in the human body. In his free time, he loves running, biking, and occasionally dressing up in his favorite, oversized yet visually aesthetic pancake costume.
